    How Did Halloween Start Real Story Behind Halloween

Halloween is a celebration of scaring away ghosts and spirits from our world and always been a holiday filled with mystery, magic and superstition.

It was first originated in Britain and moved to other parts of Europe. The ancient Irish people who were called Celts used to celebrate the festival called Samhain (pronounced as SOW-IN). 

At the end summer and beginning of cold winter where most of the human death happened. They predicted that night of October 31 boundary between the living and dead will become a blur, then ghosts of the dead will return to Earth.

How did Halloween start, In the nineteenth century, millions of new immigrants moved to America most of them who were Irish carried the Celebration of Halloween here? Adopting to Irish and English traditions, Americans began to dress like them for this festival and went around home asking for TRICK-OR-TREAT.

By the end of the 1930s. Halloween had become a community centralised holiday, having parades and city-wide parties for both children and adults became the most common way to celebrate the day. Parties focused on games, foods of the season and festive costumes is the main motto. 

On Halloween, people believed that ghosts came back to the earthly world, 
and thought they would encounter ghosts if they are
outside homes. To avoid being recognized by these ghosts, people would wear a mask after dark so that the ghosts would mistake them as fellow spirits.

On Halloween, in order to keep ghosts away from their houses, people would place food bowls or chocolates outside their homes to appease the ghosts and prevent entering their home is the real story behind Halloween.

Carved Pumpkin also is known as jack-o-lantern are placed in front of homes in order to scare away evil spirits and ghosts.  

As a matter of fact, Americans spend more than $6 billion dollars 
annually on Halloween, making it the country’s second-largest commercial holiday after Christmas and biggest festival in northern American Continent.
