To overcome muscle cramps, I highly prefer to take a walk always, 
for good health and don't sit for long hours, take small breaks of 5 min for every hour or so.

2. Stretching

One this that works like a miracle for cramps is Stretching the muscle as much you can and rub the cramped place with ice to get instant relief. 

3. Increased Water Intake

Make sure you are hydrated by drinking enough water. A healthy person drinks minimum of 3 to 4 liters of water a day.

4. Massage Therapy

Massaging is one the effective therapy if you are experiencing cramps, Better to take oil and start massaging on affected area which will numb the location and you can feel better.

6. Epsom Salt shower

This is the best method used since Ancient period, as suggested take a bath using Epsom salt water in it, which makes you feel relaxed from sprain and cramps.
